A new swimming school for children is opening up in Beavercreek near the new Aldi grocery store and Hobby Lobby.

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools will open at 2451 Lakeview Drive off of North Fairfield Road on May 4 at 11 a.m. The school, which is owned by Paul and Rebecca Sinopoli, offers eight different class levels for children of varying ages and swimming abilities.

The facility is an indoor, year-round pool, separated from the lobby by glass walls. The lobby also has wi-fi and a play area for siblings who are not taking a class. Classes have a low student-to-teacher ratio, according to a company statement.

“Miami Valley waterways are among the state’s most beautiful and cherished amenities, but too often the draw of sparkling water can lead to tragedy for children and adults who don’t know how to swim,” Sinopoli said. “Whether a child learns to swim through Aqua-Tots or another qualified program, the most important thing is that they learn to swim.”

The swimming school is located in a new development, which also houses other retailers like Salon Lofts. ALDI, which is located at 2451 Lakeview Drive, is about 18,500 square feet and opened in early December.
