Ride-share services Uber Dayton and Lyft have reached an agreement with Dayton International Airport to allow drivers to wait for trip requests at the airport.
3. Bed, Bath & Beyond and Buy Buy Baby to open new stores in Dayton area
Buy Buy Baby — a chain retailer offering an assortment of baby gear, furniture, clothes and toys — is set to open at 6134 Wilmington Pike in Sugarcreek Plaza, and will occupy 18,715 square feet. Bed, Bath & Beyond will open at the same time, and will occupy about 28,172 square feet. The space was formerly occupied by Cub Foods.
Plus, the Bed, Bath & Beyond in Center will close when the new location opens.
4. Church near UD, eyed as future student housing, sells for $550,000
The South Park United Methodist Church, located at 1701 Brown St., was sold to New Village Communities, a Dublin-based firm. The church was listed by Miller Valentine realty services.
5. Passengers tell first-hand experience of Dayton plane emergency
Passengers on Delta Flight 2392 heard a sickening bang just seconds after their aircraft lifted off the tarmac early Tuesday morning at Dayton International Airport. “I heard passengers behind me shouting,” said Shawn Robinson, a resident of Brookville, who was sitting in a window seat on the plane. “[They were] screaming something was wrong.”
