Design company sells Centerville property

A design and stationery company has sold its retail space at 60 N. Main St. in Centerville.

The Envelope, a small shop owned by Annie Bowers, has closed its retail location but will continue offering services. Bowers said she has owned the business for nearly 12 years, and it has evolved in recent years.

The design aspects of her work has become more popular, and she said she will focus on that. Bowers is currently building a new home studio in Oakwood, and will offer consultations by appointment only for clients interested in products like wedding invitations, graduation announcements, personalized gifts and stationery.

The property at 60 N. Main St. was sold in late January for $290,000. Bowers said it’s possible that a home decor boutique will open in the space.
