Frisch’s to give away free Big Boy sandwiches for 1 year

Frisch's Big Boy will unveil a new statue at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, and more than 40 lucky fans will get a free sandwiches for a year.

To celebrate the new statue, the Cincinnati-based restaurant chain will give away free Big Boys for a year to 46 fans — a nod to the year, 1946, that the Big Boy sandwich was created. The statue is wearing a Cincinnati Reds uniform.

At other locations, the Big Boy will ditch the classic checkered overalls and bring back the striped-pants look. New statues will be installed at locations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Winners for the free Big Boy sandwiches will be selected at random on May 1. Winners receive coupons redeemable for one Big Boy sandwich per week for 52 weeks.

Frisch’s operates 95 Big Boy restaurants and franchises another 25 restaurants to independent operators.
