The airline will offer introductory fares as low as $29 for flights between April 21 and June 6. Flights must be bought by the end of Feb. 7.

The additions put Frontier at 107 flights per week at CVG during the spring and summer seasons – a more than 80-percent increase over last year, according to WCPO.

CVG officials announced the airport saw its best passenger traffic volume in 2016 since 2005, and also achieved a record year for cargo volume in the airport’s 70-year history.

In early January, Southwest announced it would pull services from the Dayton International Airport in June — and add services to the Cincinnati airport that same month. Southwest is one of five major carriers with a presence at the Dayton airport currently, and flew 8,912 passengers at the airport in December.
