“This is my first startup business,” she said. “I just noticed that there’s not a candy store in the area, and I felt like I could have some fun doing this.”
The Toasty Barker Boutique has also moved locations and will open Aug. 26 at 2306 Far Hills Avenue in the space that formerly housed Park Avenue Antiques. Gift boutique The Toasty Barker was previously located at 33 Park Ave., and the store offers a mix of "eclectic" antique, vintage and handcrafted home decor.
The store also sells products like handmade glass items and trendy afghans from local artists. The store is four times as large as the space on Park Avenue, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Aug. 26.
