Swedish clothing retailer H&M is opening a location at the Tanger Outlet in Jeffersonville.

The retailer, known for its clothing for men, women, teenagers and children, will open at the Tanger Outlet at 8000 Factory Shops Blvd. on July 27. The first 200 shoppers in line will receive giveaway prizes up to $300, according to the retailer.

Customers can also receive 15 percent off their next purchase if they bring in old garments to be recycled before the store opens at noon. They will also be entered to win an H&M gift card valued up to $250.

Tanger Outlets is about a 40-minute drive from Dayton. H&M is also located at the Dayton Mall, the Mall at Fairfield Commons and the Liberty Center. The chain also has several other stores in Cincinnati and Columbus.

As retailers close brick-and-mortar stores at a rapid pace nationwide, the retailer announced earlier this month that its total number of stores jumped from 4,095 stores in 2016 to 4,517 stores by June 2017.
