Today is the last day for you to take advantage of the 2017 tax-free holiday weekend. During this weekend, Ohioans can purchase select items tax free. While the holiday is geared towards back-to-school preparation, there are some unique items that qualify for the tax-free deal.

Costumes 

Early planners can get a jump start on costumes for Halloween or other costume-related events coming up. The deal is not limited to kids, adult costumes also qualify in the tax-free deal.

Formal Wear 

The wedding season is in full swing and for those who are in a wedding or attending one, you can take advantage of the tax-free deal as well.

Winter Apparel 

The winter season is 4 months away (sorry for counting), but it is never too early to stock up on gloves, hats, scarves, and other winter apparel you need to keep warm.

Diapers

Parents know that the cost of diapers can break the bank. This weekend, you can take advantage by stocking up on the purchase of disposable or cloth diapers. Adult diapers are also included in the deal.

Globes

While not a hot-ticket item, globes are a staple in social studies and physical science classrooms. Globes can vary in price, but with the tax-free deal, that will help curb the cost for teachers and other consumers.

To take advantage of the tax-free deal, you must purchase qualifying clothing items priced at $75 or less, school supplies priced at $20 or less, or school instructional materials priced at $20 or less.
