The public comment phase is the second step in an annual process. Public comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. Dec. 16.
“The process allows community members to evaluate projects and establish a list of regional priorities,” the Dayton Development Coalition said in a statement.
All submissions will be referred to one of five review panels. The panels submit their recommendations to the full committee for final consideration.

“The committee hopes to identify community or government-based projects that will benefit the people of the Dayton region, enhance its quality of life, encourage business growth, and strengthen the community’s relationship with local military installations,” the coalition’s statement said. “The process allows the Dayton region to speak with one voice when seeking governmental and other support for local projects.”
The review panels evaluate submissions in the following areas: defense, economic development, hospitals and health care, quality of life, and transportation and government services.
The process is expected to be completed in time for the coalition’s annual fly-in to Washington, D.C., tentatively set for April 2017.
