Miami Twp. restaurant to close Aug. 19 for renovations

The Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern at 2812 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in front of the Dayton Mall will close Aug. 19 for a $300,000 renovation of its bar, dining room and patio, and it is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 7, restaurant officials said Monday.

The renovated restaurant will include new wood tables and chairs in the dining room, black leather booths and upgraded lighting, Rusty Bucket officials said in a news release. A “video wall” large-screen projection television will be added, along with 12 additional draft-beer taps, doubling the number of draft beers on tap. A new private dining room will seat up to eight guests. And the restaurant’s patio will receive a makeover to become an all-season space with heaters and a fireplace. Rusty Bucket Marketing Manager Kate Sumption said the company’s investment in the renovation would reach $300,000.

A grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 7 with a portion of the day’s proceeds benefiting Crayons to Classrooms, which provides school supplies at no cost to teachers of students in need.
