Ex-New Madison village worker accused of stealing more than $20K while in office

A former New Madison village employee is to be in court Feb. 6 for a pretrial hearing on a charge accusing her of stealing more than $21,500 during the five years she held various titles from 2010 to 2015.

Wanda Lacey, 41, was freed Monday on a recognizance bond on the felony theft in office charge. She was arraigned Monday in county Common Pleas court on an indictment returned by a Darke County grand jury.
