Cedarville University has received high marks in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 ranking of the country’s “best colleges.”

Cedarville was named the best college for veterans, according to U.S. News. The university tied with Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa for the No. 1 spot.

Cedarville was also ranked the No. 13 regional college in the Midwest. The school again tied with Loras College along with Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, according to the ranking.

The lowest marks Cedarville received was the No. 35 ranking for “Best Value Schools” and the No. 44 ranking for engineering programs without a doctoral degree.

Around 1,388 schools are included in the ranking, according to U.S. News.

U.S. News surveyed more than 1,275 schools for statistical data used to determine the rankings and some additionally needed data was obtained through the National Center for Education Statistics.

Information on financial resources, faculty, SAT and ACT scores, acceptance rates, six-year graduation rates and first-year retention rates were all considered, according to U.S. News.
