The University of Dayton and the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority will offer free RTA bus passes to students enrolled in the UD Sinclair Academy.

The passes will allow students to travel anywhere at no cost on RTA’s 31 routes in the region, according to the university.

Launched this semester, the academy is a collaboration between UD and Sinclair Community College to make it easier for students to start school at Sinclair for financial reasons and finish their degree at UD.

“This is an added benefit for students to ensure they can access the University’s campus to take advantage of student clubs, activities, facilities, advising and all the other support they receive through the academy,” said Julia Thompson, associate director of admission and financial aid.

The free passes could save students more than $660 a year, said Brandon Policicchio, chief customer and business development officer for the RTA.
