Body found in motor home after fire reported in Dayton

Investigators at an early Monday morning fire found a body in a motor home that burned on Valley Street in Dayton, according a police memo.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Valley Street to assist with a fire.

“It was later determined a body was found inside and a call-out was made,” the memo read.

More details about the person found or the circumstances surrounding their death have not been released at this time.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office on Monday afternoon said the identity of the deceased had not been determined.

Arson investigators at the scene Monday morning were seen looking at the burned out shell of the motor home.

The motor home was parked a short distance from a vacant house and near an occupied house as well. The vacant house sustained some damage from the flames.

Investigators from the Dayton Police Department, Dayton Fire Department and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office are involved in the case now.
