Man arrest in fatal Harrison Twp. shooting to be released

Deandre Dixon, who was arrested in connection to Moses’ death, is expected to be released, as charged against him were refused. We will continue to follow this story and bring you the latest.

First report:

Forty-two-year-old Gregory Moses, of Harrison Twp. was killed late Friday about 11 p.m. in Harrison Twp.

The shooting happened at an apartment in the 3700 block of Haney Road.

According to the 9-1-1 call, Moses’ body was found by a friend who showed up for a planned evening out.

The friend told the dispatcher that Moses was just inside the doorway of his home. There was a bullet hole in the screen door and it appeared the victim had already passed away, according to the 9-1-1 call.

Detectives were later able to identify 26-year old Deadre Dixon as a potential suspect and he was taken into custody in the area of North Woodward Ave and North James H. McGee Blvd on Saturday.

Dixon was then booked into Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of aggravated murder and a weapons violation.

Formal charges against Dixion are expected to be filed with the prosecutor’s office, according to the release.
