WATCH: Terrifying video of armed robbery at local motel

We have just received surveillance video of the terrifying robbery of the Moraine Knights Inn Monday morning. The video shows men smashing the glass of the hotel lobby with a gun, then jumping the counter.

UPDATE @ 3:25 a.m.

Moraine police said they are looking for three men who were involved in an armed robbery of a motel employee Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the Knights Inn at 2450 Dryden Road around 1:30 a.m. after a clerk reported an armed robbery.

Moraine Police Sgt. Chris Selby said the employee reported two men, one armed with a shotgun and the other with a handgun, entered the business and said something inaudible to the employee.

Selby said the clerk realized what was going on, ran out of the store and his under a semi parked in the lot.

The two suspects then jumped the counter and took cash from the business, before fleeing in a getaway car driven by a third man.

The suspects are described as black males, wearing hooded sweatshirts, around six-feet tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 1980’s or 1990’s Chevrolet Camero or Pontiac Firebird.

Selby said the robbers were not wearing gloves, and officers are collecting evidence at the scene including fingerprints.

Surveillance video captured the crime and was released to investigators.

It was not known how much money the robbers were able to get away with.

No injuries were reported.

Moraine police are investigating a reported armed robbery at the Knights Inn on Dryden Road Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the motel at 2450 Dryden Road on a reported armed robbery in progress around 1:30 a.m.

Police on scene said an employee reported two men robbed the motel at gunpoint, one with a shotgun and the other with a handgun. A third man was reported as the getaway driver, according to police.

Investigators did not indicate what the robbers made off with from the motel.

Officers are working with potential witnesses of the incident, but said at least three people said they didn’t see an incident occur.

Police said they are waiting to see surveillance video from the motel that captured the alleged incident.
