Al-Ahmin — also known to some law enforcement officials as Harvey Tyrone Bush and Tyron/Tyrone Harris — has been incarcerated since his arrest in early 2015.
An affidavit written by a Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent alleges Al-Ahmin’s conversations with victims were recorded, including ones with a third victim.
In some of those calls, Al-Ahmin allegedly told the third victim to join him in Las Vegas, where they would both get rich.
“I’ll teach you how to work the casino. I’ll teach you how to work the strip. You know, ‘cause that’s where they money is,” the affidavit quoted Al-Ahmin as saying.
Al-Ahmin allegedly met the first alleged victim at a Dayton gas station last summer, supplied her with heroin and invited her to his hotel room to have consensual sex, according to the affidavit.
Al-Ahmin told the woman he was a pimp and that he traveled the country with women who engaged in prostitution, according to the affidavit. He also told the alleged victim that in exchange for the money she’d make prostituting herself, Al-Ahmin would give her food, clothing and narcotics, according to the court document.
The woman — who was hooked on heroin — traveled with Al-Ahmin to Columbus, Dayton, Chillicothe and Minneapolis while seeking to provide prostitution services, the affidavit said. Other women also engaged in prostitution at Al-Ahmin’s direction, according to court documents.
The criminal complaint stated Al-Ahmin pointed a gun at the woman, assaulted her at least three times and threatened to kill her on a daily basis. The woman reportedly told law enforcement that Al-Ahmin said he had killed before, including someone in Dayton who tried to steal his drugs.
While in Sioux City, Iowa, the woman asked a truck driver at a truck stop to get her away from Al-Ahmin, the affidavit said.
The second alleged woman victim was arrested Oct. 22, 2014, by Dayton police for violating her probation and possession of drugs. The second woman said she was compelled to engage in prostitution while being physically and sexually assaulted, according to court documents.
The affidavit said Al-Ahmin set up a meeting with the second woman through her Backpage.com advertisement, got some crack cocaine in Springfield and drove to Wisconsin before telling her he was a pimp. The second woman reportedly said Al-Ahmin told her he’d killed four people
