>>Dayton man indicted for rape, kidnapping
Oliver reportedly drove the victim to a residence on Gondert Avenue and sexually assaulted her.
Mark Godsey, Oddbody’s general manager, says nothing like that has happened before to his patrons, and is adamant about their safety.
As a former head of security, Godsey has implemented a policy for bartenders to ensure that no one is over served, and if intoxicated, they are cut off and offered coffee or water. If they are alone, bartenders are to help them find a way home. Security stands out front while patrons wait for their rides to ensure they get in the right vehicle.
“Our hearts go out to her, and her family,” Godsey said. “We do not condone such actions. Safety and talent safety is my number one concern. We do make sure that we do not over serve folks. We call Ubers and pay out of pocket for individuals who may have had too much."
