Police: Couple suspected of fatally overdosing lived in hotel 2 years

Two people found dead last month in a Miami Twp. extended stay hotel were living there for nearly two years before dying of what police believe were drug overdoses.

Miami Twp. police records obtained Wednesday indicate James A. Beeler, 48, and Londen L. Baver, 42, had been staying in the same room at the InTown Suites on Kingsridge Drive near the Dayton Mall for two years when their bodies were discovered May 23.

The bodies were both found with blood on their faces in a room where a syringe, a meth pipe and a digital scale were discovered, police records indicate.

While police said they believe two died as a result of drug use, the causes of death are still pending, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Through late May, the county has already recorded 349 accidental drug overdose deaths, shattering the mark for all of 2016, authorities said.
