There were 141 cars that went through the checkpoint. Three citations were issued for driving under suspension; one citation was issued for no operator’s license; one occupied vehicle was stolen; and police made one felony arrest, according to a news release from the OVI Task Force of Montgomery County.

The sobriety checkpoint was in conjunction with the Trotwood Police Department, Montgomery County OVI Task Force and the Dayton Police Department.
Checkpoints are funded by federal grants and are designed to deter and intercept impaired drivers. State law requires law enforcement agencies to announce times and locations by the day of the checkpoint.
