A bystander saw the woman being attacked by the brown-and-white dog. The man said he was able to yell and scare the dog, which ran away down an alley, the report stated.
The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.
She told police she was walking in the alley headed to her mother’s house when the dog “came out of nowhere and started attacking her left ankle.”
