UPDATE: Man dies after being electrocuted in Reily Twp.

UPDATE @ 2:03 p.m.:

A man has died after being electrocuted today at a new home construction site in Reily Twp.

Fire Chief Dennis Conrad said a worker was framing a new house when a crane touched a power line.

The worker, whose identity has not yet been released, was being transported by medical helicopter to an area hospital, but medics pronounced him dead at the landing zone.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating, according to Conrad, who said he has “very little information” on the deceased man.

Conrad also did not know the name of the company building the new homes in Reily Twp.

INITIAL REPORT:

A medical helicopter is responding to the site of a reported electrocution in Reily Twp., according to Butler County dispatchers.

The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. on Gates Road.

It reportedly involved a crane that touched power lines.
