Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted will speak at 7 p.m. at Cedearville University’s Dixon Ministry Center on March 14.

Husted will be the featured speaker of Cedarville’s Freedom to Flourish conference, which is free and open to the public. Following his speech, Husted will take questions from the audience, according to the university.

Husted has been contemplating a run for Ohio governor and has said that a final decision on a run will come in the next few months.

The conference will also feature Christopher Brooks, a senior pastor of Evangel Ministries in Detroit, Michigan, who promotes jobs for low-income individuals.

Brooks will be interviewed by Josh Good, director of the Kern Family Foundation’s Faith, Work and Economics program, at 10 a.m. in the chapel.

The conference at Cedarville is an annual event hosted by the school of business administration and department of history and government. The event’s purpose is to demonstrate how the free enterprise system allows believers to promote genuine human flourishing, according to the university.
