The rally, called “Support and Defend DACA! Dayton is for DREAMers!” is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. at 120 W. 3rd St. outside the building housing U.S Rep. Mike Turner’s office, according to the event’s Facebook page. Turner is a Republican who represents Ohio’s 10th congressional district.
The rally will be hosted by the Montgomery County and Greene County chapters of Organizing for Action and Dayton Indivisible for All.
As of 11 a.m., nearly 50 people had responded to the rally’s event page saying they were attending while another 222 said they were interested in going. The event page asked those who attend to bring signs with them for the rally.

“They came to this country as children when their families were seeking the American Dream!” the rally’s event page states. “Now we must stand with them!”
President Donald Trump posted on Twitter this morning about the immigration policy.
“Congress, get ready to do your job - DACA!” Trump tweeted.
