Interviews for the vacant Miami Twp. trustee’s position are expected to occur Tuesday.

Trustees have scheduled a 4 p.m. special meeting with an executive session in seeking a successor to the vacancy created by Robert Matthews Jr.’s resignation last month.

Seven applicants are seeking the post. They include: Greg Bell, Terry Brill, Donald Culp, Eric Flasher, Mark Langdon, John Morris and Mike Nolan.

Another interview session is expected to occur on Friday, but a time has not been announced.

Matthews resigned effective March 28 to avoid any conflict of interest with his new employer, Frost Brown Todd, LLC, a firm that has contracted with the township.

The township has 30 days from Matthews resignation to fill the post replacement or the issue would be decided in probate court, according to the Montgomery County Board of Elections.
