This is National Sunshine Week, which puts a spotlight on the importance of the public having access to records and information illustrating how critical policy decisions are made at all levels of government.

We also think it is a good time to showcase the various ways our reporters keep you informed about the issues you care about.

As a recent Quinnipiac poll found, 90 percent of American voters say it's important "that the news media hold public officials accountable."
