FOOD NEWS: Centerville restaurant looks at another option to relocate

La Pinata, the Mexican restaurant nestled in a retail shopping center at 1069 S. Main St. (Ohio 48) in Centerville, is looking to move, and is contemplating a second proposed location after an initial potential new location did not work out, according to Centerville city officials and an employee of the restaurant.

Last fall, the restaurant had submitted plans to the city of Centerville to build a free-standing restaurant at 9555 Dayton-Lebanon Pike (Ohio 48), south of Sheehan Road. But those plans did not come to fruition, and last week, the restaurant applied to relocate its liquor license to another nearby address, at 9505 Dayton-Lebanon Pike.

Centerville City Planner and Zoning Administrator Andrew Rodney said his office has not yet received plans for a new restaurant at the 9505 address. La Pinata’s owners could not be reached.
