Third-graders at Dayton Public School’s World of Wonder Elementary School will read for donations to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

Through the school’s “Reading to Respond” effort, the third-graders will ask a family member and staff at the school at 4411 Oakridge Drive to pledge a specific amount of money per word read in one minute.

The amount raised will be counted at 10:30 a.m. Friday and donated to the Dayton chapter of the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
