Christkindlmarkt brings centeries-old German tradition to Dayton

Liederkranz-Turner, Dayton's oldest German organization at 1400 E. Fifth St., this weekend showcased the centuries-old Christkindlmarkt tradition that began in medieval Nuremburg.

The Christmas market featured traditional German fare and vendors offering items including hand-crafted ornaments, beer steins, amber jewelry from the Baltic and German collectibles.
