Firefighters rescue four family pets from Englewood house fire

Firefighters rescued four family pets from a home after a fire broke out inside the house in Englewood Tuesday afternoon.

Crews reported heavy smoke coming from the home in the 1000 block of Terracewood Drive around 12:20 p.m.

No one was home at the time of the fire, however the family’s two dogs and two cats were rescued by firefighters.

The fire was contained to the attic but the cause is unknown and under investigation, according to Englewood Fire Chief Bud Dergman.

The family will be displaced from the home but will stay with other family members.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters have responded to reports of a house fire in Englewood Tuesday afternoon.

Crews were dispatched to the home in the 1000 block of Terracewood Drive around 12:30 p.m. and reported smoke coming from the structure.

There have been no initial reports of injuries.
