Three units were affected, and two were occupied at the time, Prinz said.
Officials are working to determine the cause of the fire, and it was too early to estimate the damage cost, he said.
Strong winds made battling the fire more difficult and “pushed” the flames into other units, Prinz said.
Smoke from the fire was visible from Interstate 75, as the complex is near the Tylersville Road exit.

Three units in the building have been damaged in the fire that crews are battling in West Chester, according to our crew at the scene.
There are no injuries reported, officials said.
INITIAL REPORT, 12:35 p.m.
West Chester firefighters are on the scene now of a fire in an apartment building.
They were dispatched at about 12:20 p.m. to 7494 Easton Court, off of Knightswood Drive. Flames were visible when firefighters arrived, according to scanner traffic.
They are in the second floor trying to knock down flames that are apparently traveling through the building.
No word on injuries, according to Barb Wilson, West Chester Twp. spokeswoman.
