Fire damages house on New Carlisle Pike in Clark County

Several fire departments in Clark and Miami counties helped battle a house fire that broke out on New Carlisle Pike Tuesday afternoon.

Crews were dispatched to the house in the 7400 block of New Carlisle Pike, near North Hampton Road, after a caller reported smoke coming from the house.

Firefighters confirmed the house is a vacant structure and there was no electric service to the house.

Neighbors told our crew the house has been unoccupied for about a year.

The cause of the fire was unknown and is under investigation.
