Fire damages Miamisburg home; occupants displaced

UPDATE @ 12:45 p.m.:

An occupant of a Miamisburg home was able to safely evacuate after a fire broke out Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 700 block of East Central Avenue shortly after 10 a.m. and found smoke coming from the structure.

The blaze was contained to the basement of the house but the cause is under investigation, Miami Valley Fire District Lt. Trent Shroyer said.

One person who was home at the time was able to get out before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The occupants of the home will be displaced.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters have responded to reports of a house fire on East Central Avenue in Miamisburg Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to the house around 10:10 a.m. in the 700 block of East Central Avenue, and reported smoke coming from the structure.

Additional details were not immediately available.
