Dog dies in Harrison Twp. house fire

UPDATE @ 2:05 a.m: A dog died in a Harrison Twp. house fire early Friday morning.

The fire started in a back bedroom of a house in the 2600 block of Grant Avenue. Heat from the blaze and smoke detectors woke the residents.

Fire crews were able to get the fire out rather quickly, officials said, and all occupants inside the home were able to get out safely without injury.

The fire is still under investigation and damage estimates are unknown at this time.

FIRST REPORT

Fire crews are still on scene of a structure fire in the 2600 block of Grant Avenue in Harrison Twp.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

When crews arrived, smoke was showing from the structure.
