Officials said the change in the works by the Miami Twp.-Dayton Mall Joint Economic Development District Board would improve marketing and development efforts in the district.

The master plan approved by the JEDD in December 2015 in the business-heavy district outlined the creation of 1,200 multifamily residential units, and more than 350 new jobs from thousands of square feet of new retail and office space within 12 years.
