Former city manager Debbie McDonnell announced her departure from Fairborn in September. Pete Bales has served as interim city manager as a headhunting firm searches for a replacement.

City council will discuss the search for a new Fairborn city manager at a work session meeting Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The special meeting will be held immediately following the regularly scheduled 6 p.m. city council meeting at 44 W. Hebble Ave., according to the city.
