Firefighters shocked battling Dayton fire

UPDATE 11:16 p.m.:

Several firefighters were electrically shocked and had to pull out of a commercial building while dousing a fire in Dayton this morning.

Firefighters said none of the firefighters were actually injured, but until DP&L could arrive on scene to disconnect power the crews were ordered to evacuate the burning structure.

Fire crews are working to locate the owners of the building and said it was unclear what kind of work was being done inside the building.

The fire was extinguished shortly after DP&L disconnected power to the building.

Firefighters are battling a fire in the area of Home and Parker avenues this morning.

The fire was reported around 8:45 a.m. and initial reports indicated the flames were coming from a commercial building.
