Neighbors had objected to a drive-through lane that exited onto Warren Street. They also opposed a modified proposal to have the drive-through loop back through the parking lot.
The zoning appeals board had tabled the developer’s request in May.
According to the new design, the drive-through lane exits onto Warren Street, but it will be a right turn only. There also will be signage, lighting and a raised sidewalk and walkway to improve safety.
Board member Mary Beth Caudill said it’s clear the developer tried to address the concerns of neighbors and thought out some useful changes.
“I am much more comfortable with the current proposal,” she said.
Some residents implored the board to reject the request, saying the drive-through created a hazard for bicyclists and pedestrians.
