A teenage girl was seriously injured late this morning when she crashed head-on into a dump truck, according to the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Hailey Mabry, 16, of Saint Marys, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier south on County Road 66A around 11:40 a.m. when troopers said she drove left of center and struck a 2003 Sterling dump truck, operated by 56-year-old Bruce Knotts of Fort Jennings.

Mabry, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered incapacitating injuries and was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, troopers said. Knotts was wearing a seat belt and told crews he was not injured. Alcohol is not suspected in the crash.
