Heavy flames, smoke coming from Darke County barn fire

Massive flames and heavy smoke were visible tonight after a barn caught fire.

Crews were in a defensive mode to protect a nearby home from the fire, reported sometime after 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of Verona Pitsburg Road in Monroe Twp. south of Pitsburg in Darke County.

The barn reportedly contained a tractor and camper.

No injuries were reported, and it’s not clear what sparked the fire.
