Fire starts in attic of two-story vacant house in Dayton

UPDATE @ 6:55 p.m.:

A small fire started in the attic of a two-story vacant house Sunday on Chicamauga and Lookout Avenues, according to a fire official.

The cause of the fire and the damage estimate is unknown at this time.

FIRST REPORT:

Heavy smoke was reported coming from a residence on Chicamauga and Lookout Avenues around 5:25 p.m., according to Montgomery County Regional dispatch.

No flames were seen and crews located the fire in the attic.

DP&L was also advised to the scene, dispatchers said.

It’s unknown if anyone was in the house at the time of the fire or if any injuries were reported.
