The injuries to the students were not serious, officials said.
Police said the driver of the SUV was not injured. However, the driver will be cited for assured clear distance.
The bus was fully loaded, with approximately 40 students, according to Capt. John Keyser, with the New Lebanon Fire Department.
The students who were not injured were either picked up by their parents or taken to school on another school bus, Keyser said.
Investigators do not believe this morning’s rain or fog contributed to the crash.
