Crews have put out a semi truck fire next a Home Depot in Fairfield Twp. that could be seen from a good distance away and caused closure of part of a street.

The cause of the fire is not known, officials said. There were no reported, and all lanes in the area have reopened.

The truck was hauling steel, officials said.

INITIAL REPORT

A semi-trailer truck fire next to a Home Depot store has closed a Fairfield Twp. road while firefighters battle the blaze.

According to Butler County dispatchers, no one is injured in the vehicle fire, and the flames have not spread to the Home Depot store at 6562 Winford Ave.

Dispatchers said the fire is located behind the truck’s cab.

Traffic on Winford Avenue has been blocked off since shortly after the fire was first reported at approximately 1 p.m.
