“Corrections officer immediately began lifesaving measures and jail medical staff and Dayton fire responded. The inmate was ultimately pronounced deceased by Dayton fire personnel,” Haines said in an email Friday.

Investigators do not suspect foul play in Devoe’s death, Haines said.

Devoe was incarcerated on Feb. 3 on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug abuse instruments, according to online jail records.

An autopsy was completed Friday, but Devoe’s cause and manner of death are still under investigation, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
