1 detained in ‘drug-related’ search warrant at Dayton house

The man arrested Wednesday morning has been identified as Deaaron Person, 21, after police executed a drug-related search warrant at a house on East Hudson Avenue in Dayton, according to a Dayton police report. Person is being held on trafficking in drugs, illegal manufacturing of drugs, and drug possession.

UPDATE @ 8:20 a.m. (Dec. 27)

Police have detained one person after executing a search warrant at a house on East Hudson Avenue in Dayton Wednesday morning.

SWAT and police officers executed the warrant around 7 a.m. but have not made any arrests, according to Dayton police. One person found in the house has been detained as a part of their investigation, but it was not known if they would face charges.

Police said the warrant was “drug-related” but it was not known if any drugs were found in the house. Investigators said multiple weapons were located inside.

FIRST REPORT (Dec. 27)

We’re working to learn more about police activity on East Hudson Avenue in Dayton Wednesday morning.

Police scanner traffic indicates officers were at a home on East Hudson Avenue executing a search warrant around 7 a.m. East Hudson Avenue was blocked at North Main Street but reopened at 8 a.m., according to our crew on the scene.

Multiple officers and SWAT vehicles are on scene, but are beginning to clear the area.

Additional details were not available from officers on scene and dispatchers.
