The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office is not yet releasing the name or age of the woman who died in the house fire on Glencross Drive in Trotwood, but neighbors are describing her as caring, sweet and loving.
“She was just a sweet woman,” neighbor Robin White said.
Another neighbor, Dianne Campbell, said, “she was really a lovely, sweet lady. Nothing bad can be said about her.”
Trotwood fire/rescue crews, assisted by Clayton and Harrison Twp., were able to quickly put out the fire and found working smoke detectors in the home, Trotwood Fire Chief Rick Hackey said.
Investigators have not offered any preliminary assessment about the cause or origin of the fire.

The coroner has been called to a house fire on Glencross Drive in Trotwood this morning, according to initial reports.
Firefighters responded to the 4000 block of Glencross around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
