Riverside Police Department K9 Tina was among five K9s to graduate Friday from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.

It’s the third class of K9s to graduate from the patrol’s academy.

K9 Tina and handler, Riverside police officer Matthew Jackson, trained together for 10 weeks to earn police dog certification by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council. Each K9 mastered narcotic detection or tracking apprehension, or both, according to the highway patrol.

K9 Tina was purchased with donations from local businesses within the city of Riverside.
