Car fire sends smoke under Ohio 4 overpass in Dayton

Crews are now reporting the smoke is coming from a car fire at the CSX crossing in the area of Herman Avenue and Troy Street.

Smoke from the car fire is sending smoke from underneath the Ohio 4 overpass.

FIRST REPORT

Smoke from a grass fire poured out underneath the Ohio 4 overpass this evening in the city.

Dayton crews were called around 5:15 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

The grass fire was reported on the CSX railroad tracks next to a Pepsi plant; crews were requested to respond to the area of North Keowee and Webster streets.
