Deputy Chief Anthony Bizzarro of the Bellbrook Fire Department said crews were dispatched around 2:45 p.m. to the home in the 4000 block of Nedra Drive after the blaze was called in by neighbors.
“We did have heavy fire showing from the outside of the structure when our crews showed up,” Bizzarro said.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries to humans.
“There were several deceased cats inside the structure,” Bizzarro said.
The fire remains under investigation, and the state fire marshal was called, Bizzarro said.
FIRST REPORT
We are hearing reports of a working fire in the 4000 block of Nedra Drive.
The incident was reported around 2:45 p.m. Vectren and DP&L have been requested to the scene.

Emergency traffic reports indicate that heavy fire was showing from the back side of the house.
