The juvenile, which had injuries to its lower jaw, was moved via a stretcher into a nearby public pool located in the ocean at Manly Beach, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

"Our team came down and caught it," Rob Townsend, with the nearby Manly Sea Life Sanctuary, told the Herald.

"We put it in the pool to monitor it without waves. We're just watching her condition."

The shark entertained onlookers for most of the day Monday, before rescuers moved it to the sanctuary later that evening.
